Great question! Johnslanding.org is for-profit. However, we would like to note this site does not generate much revenue. It is simply a hobby website of Joseph Krahn. 

The Ads you see on the right hand side are on a pay-by-click basis. The payout is very minimal and depends how unique the visitor is. For example, if you traveled to this website via a search engine you would be considered a unique visitor, rather just coming directly to the site (if you previously knew the name). Please contact us if you're a local business looking to advertise. 

All the revenue is most likely invested back in the site. As you can see, we still have room for improvements, but finances stop some innovations.
